ACADEMIC STRUCTURES AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The higher education system in Turkey is supervised by the Council of Higher Education which is responsible for the planning, coordination and governance of the higher education system in Turkey in accordance with the Turkish Constitution and Higher Education Laws. If you have completed your high school programme, you will have a chance to direct entry.

Universities have the freedom to choose their own academic calendars to best suit their individual needs but in general they usually start in September and end in June with a winter and summer break during the year.

Public Universities English Requirements

Most of the public universities offer programs at reasonable tuition fees to international students and for some of them you have to take the YOS Exam and proof the academic GPA and also TOEFL IBT or IELTS results.
